Poem Fifteen (08/03/2025)

What is it about being vulnerable that makes you feel like pulling your teeth?

To run away from every opportunity to present itself to be vulnerable?

One might want to scream out so badly the words at the tip of their tongue

Yet when the moment arrives, they become mute and bury all sense of courage they once had

Is it courtesy?

Is it the fear of being shunned?

Maybe.

There’s a lot of consequences to being vulnerable after all.
